GENERAL RULES |
Please read these carefully as they concern YOU.
1. It is a condition of entering that the University of Liverpool, Leahurst and the organisers accept no responsibility for any accident that may happen to spectators, competitors, their servants, horse, motors or any vehicle in connection with, or arising from the show or any conduct of the management thereof.
2. A hard hat, securely fastened must be worn at all times whilst mounted. We strongly recommend a PAS015 or BSEN1384 hard hat but British Standard 4472 or 6473 is permitted.
3. All stallions and colts must be handled by an adult over 18 years of age and must be adequately bitted and under control. The organiser’s reserve the right to expel from the field or class any animal not considered to be under control, or unfit, especially where a danger to the public is concerned.
4. The organisers reserve the right to cancel, split or combine classes where appropriate, to delay or commence classes when necessary and to refuse an entry without reason.
5. No class will be delayed unduly whilst a competitor is in another ring.
6. Horses/ponies in ridden classes must be 4 years or over.
7. Competitors age as on 1st January 2009.
8. Spurs may not be worn by anyone aged 16 years or under.
9. Any objection to be lodged with the Secretary in writing, within one hour of the alleged incident, together with a £25 deposit which will be returned if the objection is withheld.
10. The decisions of the organisers and judges are final. Direct approach to judges is strictly forbidden and will incur disqualification
11. No riding outside the designated show area and NO GALLOPING anywhere in the show area. Unless in a designated working in area please only WALK.
12. Children must be supervised at the ringside by a responsible adult.
13. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times whilst in the showground and any mishaps picked up any one seen not complying will be asked to leave the showground.
14. Cleaning out of horseboxes on the showground is strictly forbidden, please note this means plait bands and rubbish, sheep & ponies go back on these fields when we have finished.
15. Anyone found mistreating an animal will be asked to leave the showground.
By entering the showground competitors and spectators agree to abide by the rules and conditions.
